It’s Election Day here in the U.S. – a currently frightening event given the circumstances. A great deal hangs in the balance as we await the results. I did my part by early voting, but today I think we, Americans, need a little (or a lot) of positivity.

I apologize that I haven’t really had anything to say or share. I’m still in escape-limbo mode.
Actually, I’m trying to figure out what to do with myself. As many of you know, The Sis and I move, a lot. I feel perpetually antsy. I long to find a place to settle down, somewhere that feels like home, and so in the interim, I’m finding it hard to make a whole lot of progress in any direction.
There are things I want to do, but if we’re not going to be here much longer, I’m not sure how much to commit. I mean, why put in energy to something you might not finish? Right?
Huh. The things that happen when you become an adult.
And a lot of this comes down to my financial situation. When you can barely make ends meet, it leaves a lot of feelings of resentment that you’ve somehow allowed yourself to get in this situation in the first place. It’s a vicious cycle.
So, while I mull over my current predicament, I need to find a boost to my mental well-being.
I don’t like to vent here, but if you have any words of encouragement or wisdom, please send them my way!

I’ve been a bad blogger…relying on easy posts, like this one. 😉
I finished the recent chapter of Dragon Age fanfic I was working on, so now maybe I can move onto something else. I have lots of things pending, so it would be good if I could get that out of my system, at least for the time being.
Perhaps I could try writing a few flash fiction pieces? Let’s give that a try. Wanna join me?

I’ve been in a state of avoidance. Finding consolation in escapism. And the only person that affects, the only person that suffers, is me.
I don’t know why exactly either. Actually, I have a couple of theories. Regardless, it’s about doing what you can with what you have in the hopes that you can keep moving forward.

It’s Friday again?! My life is flashing by…gracious, I better start making better use of my down time!
I honestly planned on posting this Wednesday, when I was supposed to, but it was the first day in nearly two weeks I had the house all to myself, so you can imagine what I did. Yep, I gamed, for like six hours, and I do not feel guilty about it, except now that I realize it’s Friday…again.
Sheesh.
I saw this week’s image and knew right away it was the one I wanted to share with you. I was drawn to it immediately.

There’s so much going on in the world right now that it’s hard to stay sane and not want to escape into our creative worlds full-time. I have things I want to say, and while I’m not sure I want to put it in this space, as I keep this blog as a journal as well, I may have to break my silence. I’m still pondering the idea, so be forewarned. 😉
